Nigerians number between four (4) to five 5 million across all ten regions of Cameroon. The majority are found in the Northwest and Southwest Anglophone regions (estimated at over two (2) million persons), while many are also in major cities, including Douala, Yaounde, Garoua, among others. Nigerians are gainfully engaged in various sectors of the Cameroonian economy, as professionals, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), trade, farming and fishing. Nigeria and Cameroon share a 1,700 kilometer border, and have strong historical, cultural and ethnic ties.
